Repairs continue at Halle Library

Repairs are progressing smoothly for maintenance crews at Eastern Michigan University’s Halle Library, and investigations are underway to determine why the pipe’s supports failed. It was first reported the cause of the falling pipe was the breaking of the clamp-like hangers that hold the pipe in place.

EMU Halle Library repairs start

The repair process is underway at Halle Library after it was discovered that a clamp supporting a water return pipe had broken loose causing the pipe to come crashing down through the ground floor ceiling, triggering the sprinkler system in the process.
