Is EMU really safe?

More than 50 crimes involving sexual assault, theft, burglary, violence, vandalism, and harassments were reported on EMU’s campus within the first two months of the 2017 fall semester, according to the daily crime log.

Parking pass prices upset students

Within the last year, the cost of Eastern Michigan University parking passes has increased by five dollars, making it $155 for commuter and residential hall students. Five dollars may not be a big difference to some, but it’s a huge difference compared to the prices parking passes used to have within the past few years.

Eagles get swept by Bowling Green

The EMU softball team was swept out 3-1 during the weekend finale against Bowling Green State University Sunday, April 9, in the Mid-American Conference cross-divisional action at Meserve Field. In the beginning, The Eagles had a good lead, but it was enough to defeat the Bowling Green Falcons.

Nathan Bomey speaks to aspiring journalist at EMU

Starting at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, the 2006 Eastern Michigan graduate, Nathan Bomey came to speak to aspiring journalist students in room 216 of Pray-Harold. The alumni started his career as a Detroit journalist covering many Detroit issues, including news for General Motors right after graduation.

EMU softball fails to record a hit

On Sunday, April 2, the Eastern Michigan softball team ended its series finale, 9-0, to the University of Akron at Varsity Field.  The Eagles fell to 13-17 on the season and 2-4 in Mid-American Conference play.
