The Eastern Michigan men and women’s track and field teams competed this past weekend at the Silverston Invite.
After a good showing in the Findlay Open on Feb. 3 in Findlay, Ohio and the Meyo Invite in South Bend, Indiana, the Eastern Michigan University men’s track and field team heads to Allendale Michigan to compete in the Grand Valley State University’s Big Meet.
After two days, the Meyo Invitational that featured more than 1,600 competitors finished. Eastern Michigan competed in the Meyo Invitational for the sixth consecutive year.
It has been three weeks since Eastern Michigan’s men’s track and field team’s first meet at the Grand Valley Holiday Open in Allendale, Mich., on Dec.
The Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team will play the University of Arkansas-Little Rock at 7 p.m.
Eastern Michigan University women’s swimming and diving team fell to defending Mid-American Conference champs Ohio University on Saturday, 151-149, in the season opener for the Eagles at the Jones Natatorium. “I was extremely happy with the swimming results,” coach Peter Linn said.
