Winter break baseball round-up

The Eastern Michigan University baseball team lost its series opener at the University of Kentucky 8-2, Friday. With the threat of inclement weather for Sunday, Saturday’s game was rescheduled as a doubleheader between the Eagles and Wildcats. Kentucky swept the twin-bill with a 9-5 win in game one and routed the Eagles in the nightcap 13-2.

EMU baseball looks to bounce back from 26-28 finish in 2013

For the Eastern Michigan University baseball team, the 2013 season saw the Eagles miss out on the Mid-American Conference Tournament after losing to the University of Toledo on the last day of the season. A new year is around the corner and the goal is to get back into the conference tournament and do better than a 26-28 record and 12-15 in the MAC.

EMU swim teams split at Miami

The Eastern Michigan University men’s swimming team defeated Miami University in a Mid-American Conference road meet 175-125. The women’s squad lost to Miami 176-124 in Oxford, Ohio.
