With all of the exciting events going on at Eastern Michigan University for the new and returning students, one of the most well known one is probably Meijer Mania. College students gathered to cash in on all the free merchandise and samples that Meijer had generously given.

New local theater troop to present 'Beaver's Long Strange Trip'

A young theater movement has given rise to many new theaters around Ypsilanti including Mix, Dreamland Theater and the newest member, The Neighborhood Theatre Group. On Friday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m., The Neighborhood Theatre Group will present a reading of Beaver’s Long Strange Trip at the Back Office Studio (BOS) located at 13 N.


Volunteers clean up downtown during Ypsi P.R.I.D.E Day

Local residents participated in the 21st annual Ypsi P.R.I.D.E Day Saturday morning. Volunteers at the event worked in the downtown Ypsilanti area to help gather litter, pull up weeds and plant new flowers. People Restoring Image and Developing the Environment is a project from the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber.
