Volleyball, football teams raise money for breast cancer research

Saturday marked the third consecutive year Eastern Michigan University paired up with the Side-Out Foundation for “Dig Pink,” an event that has helped raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.

Students, as well as area locals, showed up to see the game and support the cause at 2008's “Dig and Kick Pink” day.

U-M, EMU football game ticket giveaway Wednesday

The first 500 students, faculty or staff to arrive at the Convocation Center for Eastern Michigan’s volleyball match against No. 7 ranked Michigan at 7 p.m. Wednesday (gates open at 6) will get a free ticket to see the Eagles’ football team play Michigan on Sept. 19 at Michigan Stadium.
