The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team headed to Kent, Ohio, on Sat. Nov. 16, with a Mid-American Conference Championship tournament spot on the line. The Eagles defeated the Kent State University Golden Flashes three sets to one.

Volleyball team falls in 4 sets to NIU on Senior Night

Eastern Michigan University volleyball hosted Northern Illinois University for senior night at the Convocation Center on Nov. 9. In the final home game for senior co-captains Erin Short and Paige Roback, the Huskies bested the Eagles 3-1.



Central Michigan sweeps Eagles

The Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team returned to the Convocation Center Thursday night to host the Central Michigan Chippewas. Central Michigan (8-9, 2-3 Mid-Amercan Conference) swept EMU (11-9, 1-4 MAC) in three sets (25-22, 25-20, 25-21). Eastern has lost four of their last five matches.

Women’s volleyball team falls in four sets

The Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team couldn’t pull off the upset against No. 18 Ohio University Saturday night at the Convocation Center as they fell in four sets (25-23, 25-7, 21-25, 25-14). No. 18 Ohio (15-3, 5-1 MAC) took the match three sets to one over Eastern Michigan (11-10, 1-5 MAC).


Jones brings high energy to bear in volleyball

Redshirt sophomore middle blocker Kelsey Jones is usually dancing when she comes out of the locker room before Eastern Michigan University volleyball games. The coaching staff and her teammates say Jones is high energy during the game, in practice and on the sidelines. If she isn’t playing, she’s cheering and creating positive energy for her teammates.

The Eastern Michigan University Eagles (11-7, 1-2 Mid-American Conference) faced the Western Michigan University Broncos (9-7, 2-1 MAC) Saturday night in Kalamazoo. Western Michigan defeated EMU three sets to one (23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-22).


Eagles lose to NIU Huskies in 4 sets

The Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team (11-6, 1-1 MAC) lost to the Northern Illinois Huskies (9-7, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) in DeKalb, Ill. on Friday. The match was the first conference game for Northern Illinois at home this season. Northern Illinois beat EMU three sets to one (24-26, 25-21, 25-19, 25-21).

Tennis wins four road matches during weekend

This past weekend, the Eastern Michigan University women’s tennis team traveled to Bloomington, Ind. to take part in the Hoosier Classic, while senior Nino Mebuke and sophomore Klara Supejova competed at the ITA All-American Championships in Los Angeles, Calif.


Eagles volleyball bounces back against UT

Eastern Michigan University fought off a late fourth-set push from the University of Toledo Rockets for its first Mid-American Conference win of the year at the Convocation Center. EMU defeated the Rockets (29-27, 17-25, 25-16, 25-23), to bounce back from its 3-0 loss to Ball State University the night before.


	Despite winning seven of its last nine matches, Eastern has been swept in straight sets in two of the last four. EMU was swept in straight sets by then No. 14-ranked Michigan State University last Friday.

Eastern Michigan University volleyball fell to the Ball State University Cardinals in the teams’ 2013 Mid-American Conference opener Friday night at the Convocation Center. BSU’s tenth consecutive win came in straight sets over the Eagles (25-17, 25-17, 25-23).

After going 10-5 in nonconference play, the Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team will set its focus on Mid-American Conference opponents for the rest of the 2013 regular season.


	The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team headed into Jenison Field House in East Lansing, Mich. over the weekend for its final tournament before conference play begins. The Eagles went 2-1 in the Michigan State Spartan Invitational. Eastern Michigan lost to the No. 14 ranked Michigan State Spartans on Friday night, but rebounded to win both games on Saturday, defeating the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Duquesne University Dukes

Volleyball extends winning streak to five

On Tuesday night at the Convocation Center, the Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team swept the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne Mastadons (25-21, 25-20, 25-16) and are now on a five-game winning streak, having won 15 straight sets.

Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball (7-4) shined this weekend in Providence, R.I. at the Brown Invitational winning all three games they played to extend their winning streak to four.

Eastern Michigan University volleyball clinched its first home win of the season with an exclamation point Tuesday night at the Convocation Center against Oakland University. The Eagles swept the Golden Grizzlies in three straight sets, 25-22, 25-18, 25-23, to improve to 4-4 on the year.



Oregon State defeats EMU in women's volleyball

The Pacific 12 conference was represented at the Convocation Center for the first time Wednesday night by the Oregon State University Beavers as they came away with a five-set win over the Eastern Michigan University Eagles women’s volleyball team, 27-29, 25-21, 25-17, 24-26, 15-10.
