EMU baseball goes winless in its 5-game trip

The Eagles (10-19 overall, 1-8 Mid-American Conference) started the week on Wednesday with a loss to the University of Dayton (10-16) that was called off due to darkness after the seventh inning. EMU mounted a series rally, scoring all six of their runs in the last two innings, before falling 7-6.

Willette competes at NCAA Regionals

Eastern Michigan University junior gymnast Anna Willette finished tied for 39th out of 42 on the balance beam at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Regional at the Maravich Center on the campus of the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday.

Women’s golf finishes in top 10

The Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team nabbed a top-10 finish at the University of Arkansas Little Rock Golf Classic. The tournament was held in Hot Springs, Ark. over a two-day period, March 24-25.

Basketball coach Rob Murphy one of 15 award finalists

On March 24, Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball coach Rob Murphy was announced as one of 15 finalists for the Ben Jobe Award. The Ben Jobe Award is presented annually to the top minority coach in Division I men’s basketball.

Willette nabs NCAA Regional Championship bid

The motivation of doing well drove Eastern Michigan University Anna Willette gymnast to succeed in every meet this season. Her hard work paid off as she qualified for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Regional Championships, the organization announced in its gymnastics championship release Monday, March 24.
