Jock Jamz 2016 rocks Pease

The fifth annual Jock Jamz brought multiple Eastern Michigan athletic teams to Pease Auditorium to show off their lip-syncing and dancing skills. The wrestling, baseball, softball, rowing, men's and women's track and field, gymnastics, and women’s soccer teams took the stage to compete for bragging rights and the 2016 Jock Jamz trophy.

Eastern Michigan’s men’s swimming and diving team took the pool for the first time in the New Year, where they would split a couple of dual meets against Purdue University and Ball State University. Eastern Michigan (3-2, 1-0 MAC) fell to the Purdue Boilermakers, 128-109 after having had five Eagles record season-best performances.

'Bubble' to be closed additional two weeks

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team struggle offensively and lose to the Ohio University Bobcats by a score of 71-64 in an early Mid-American Conference meeting on Wednesday night in Ypsilanti, MI. The Eagles (10-4; 2-2 MAC) guard Phillis Webb got the offense going early in the game scoring nine points and grabbing six rebounds as Eastern Michigan led 19-14 to end the first.

Defense stifles Buffalo in EMU win

Coming off of a loss to Northern Illinois, the Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team stepped up defensively to beat the University of Buffalo. The Eagles held Buffalo to just 24 percent from the three point line and scored 28 points off of turnovers in the 81-69 victory.
