Game-winning three by Bond gives the Eagles win on Senior Day

After a sloppy first half, Tim Bond came in clutch as Eastern Michigan rallied behind Bond, who would score 11 points in the second half, including the game-winning three point shot to help EMU rally from being down 15 to Northern Illinois University Tuesday night at the Convocation Center. The Eagles won 75-71.


Ball State spoils Senior Day for EMU 67-63

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team fell in their final home game of the season to the Ball State Cardinals, 67-63, Saturday afternoon in Ypsilanti. The Eagles struggled defensively allowing Ball State to shoot 46 percent from three-point range.  “I felt our kids wanted to win so badly that we took ourselves out of defensive positioning because they were being overly aggressive,” EMU coach Tory Verdi said.

Eagles kick off season with three wins

The Eastern Michigan baseball team kicked off its season over the weekend in Georgia against the University of Nebraska in Omaha and the New Jersey Institute of Technology at the Perfect Game Spring Swing tournament.

Coming off two straight wins, the Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team was handed a 22-point defeat at the hands of the University of Ohio Bobcats Tuesday night in Athens, Ohio.

Eagles break school record for third consecutive meet

For the third consecutive meet, the Eastern Michigan gymnastics team broke the school record for meet score scoring a 196.600 last night in a tri-meet against Bowling Green State University and Southeast Missouri State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Coming off a win against Central Michigan University, the Eastern Michigan men's basketball team continued its momentum when they beat the Kent State University Golden Flashes, 75-70, Saturday afternoon in Ypsilanti.



Eagles sweep CMU in season series

Coming off the loss to State University at Buffalo, the Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team regained momentum by completing the season sweep of Central Michigan, 71-56, Tuesday night in Ypsilanti.

Eagles lose fifth straight meet

The Eastern Michigan wrestling team (7-7, 2-5 MAC) lost its fifth straight meet on Friday to in-state rivals Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant in a 22-12 rout.


EMU gymnastics continues to roll; breaks program record again

Just days after posting the best meet score in school history, the Eastern Michigan women’s gymnastics team topped that score Monday night in a tri-meet in Ann Arbor with a 195.975 against the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland. The Eagles (9-2, 2-0 MAC, 195.221 avg.) score was able to notch a win over Maryland but they fell short against the no.
