The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team lost in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament to the Cardinals of Ball State 3-1(25-22, 25-23, 25-8 and 27-25) Friday at Geneva, Ohio.

EMU's bowl chances are slim after loss to Kent State, 28-22

The Eastern Michigan University football team will have to wait for another chance to become bowl eligible after losing to Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, 28-22 Saturday. Eastern Michigan’s final game of the regular season and last chance for bowl eligibility will be in DeKalb, Ill.


Hall-of-famer Jim 'Streets' Streeter leaves impact

110-32 sweep over Marygrove

The season has started off fast for the Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team. The Eagles are 2-0 on the season after Monday’s victory against Marygrove College in the Convocation Center. The women’s basketball team defeated Marygrove 110-32 in a record-setting night.

On Saturday, Eastern Michigan University will visit the Kent State Golden Flashes before it travels to Northern Illinois the day after Thanksgiving for the season finale.


Men's basketball wins season opener

With the final buzzer sounding off on a 68-57 victory Friday for Eastern Michigan University’s basketball team over the University of Illinois-Chicago, the Rob Murphy era got off to a positive start. Junior guard Derek Thompson led EMU in the scoring with 17 points, with senior guard Darrell Lampley shooting for 12.

Basketball wins 85-53

It was a record-setting day for the Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team as it defeated Northeastern Friday 85-53 in Boston in the season opener.

Cross country takes 16th

·

The Eastern Michigan University men’s cross country team finished in 16th place with 442 points in the 2011 NCAA Great Lakes Regional, hosted by the University of Toledo. The winning team of the NCAA Great Lakes Regional turned out to be Wisconsin, which finished with 50 points.
