Women defeat Huskies 64-52

Paige Redditt was able to score with ease in the 64-52 win against the Northern Illinois Huskies at the Convocation Center on Sunday.

EMU women's basketball drops first MAC decision

In a neck-to-neck game between the Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team and the Ball State Cardinals, the Eagles were defeated by a score of 54-51 at Worthen Arena. The first half was a fight for the lead; though the Eagles started out on top , the Cardinals would come right back and tie up the score.

EMU women's basketball defeats Wyoming in first game of 2012

A record-tying 18 rebounds from Olivia Fouty helped boost the Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team to a 65-43 win over the University of Wyoming on January 2 inside the Convocation Center. The game started off in favor of the Eagles as they took an 11-0 lead over the Cowlgirls in the first three minutes.

Eagles end 2011 with loss to Seatle University

In the second day of the Washington Dental Services Holiday Hoops Tournament, the Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team took a 75-72 loss to the Seattle University Redhawks at the KeyArena.

Eagles drop decision in Santa Clara

The Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team lost 75-55 to Santa Clara University in its first game of the Santa Clara Cable Car Classic that was held in Santa Clara, California.

The defense for the women’s basketball team at Eastern Michigan University rose to the occasion Thursday against Saint Louis University at Seattle’s Holiday Hoops Tourney.

EMU wrestling in midst of Midlands Championship

Eastern Michigan University entered the the 49th Annual Midlands tournament with nine of it’s top wrestlers and the Midlands tournament prepared a tournament of top competition. Taking place in Evanston Illinois, at Northwestern University, EMU has held moderate success through the tournament.

Indoor season opens

The Eastern Michigan University women’s track and field opened the indoor season with a win Friday against the University of Toledo and University of Detroit Mercy at the Bowen Field House. Eastern earned 123.5 points, Toledo scored 83 points and Detroit Mercy had 64.5 points. The field events began the meet when senior Angela Scarber won the weight throw and set a EMU record at 17.38 meters.
