"Zaftig," forthcoming from Fifth Avenue Press, is an ode to the women in Molly Raynor’s family. After being involved in Ann Arbor’s literary scene since she was 14 and working in Ypsilanti as an adult, at age 40, "Zaftig" is Raynor’s first published book.
Although there are some obvious parallels between the play and the historical record, Cyrano de Bergerac was a real person, and the well-known play is a highly dramatized version of his life.
