Eastern Michigan University holds is sixth annual Giving True Day as a way to support and give thanks to different aspects of the university. One can make a gift to athletics, an EMU college of the donor’s choice, WEMU, special initiatives like the Undergraduate Symposium, and much more.

Dr. Robert Turner hosted a discussion and book signing at Eastern Michigan University Wednesday, Nov. 28, for his newly released book, “Not For Long,” which showcases the shared experiences and obstacles NFL players face while playing and when their athletic career ends.

As the Department of World Languages celebrates International Education week, Eastern Michigan University’s Spanish Club commemorated the occasion with their event Noche de Carerra, Monday Nov. 12 in the student center.

News Anchor Josh Landon visited Sponberg Auditorium on Wednesday to give advice to future journalists. Landon, an anchor for Fox 2 News, talked about his journey to his current job and answered questions from student journalists and broadcasters. Landon, an EMU graduate, shared his enthusiasm and knowledge with students.

EMU Jewish Studies Department welcomes Tony winning playwright to campus

Tony award winning writer Lisa Kron shared this sentiment during her lecture on Nov. 1. “A Conversation with Lisa Kron” was put on by the Eastern Michigan University Center for Jewish Studies, and sponsored by several EMU academic departments including the Honors College, as well as the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor and the Ann Arbor Jewish Community Center 2018 Books and Arts Festival.

Red Sand Project brings awareness to human trafficking

Students walking between classes on Wednesday may have noticed patches of red sand overflowing from the cracks in the sidewalk. These were not the remnants of some poor student’s art project, but part of The Red Sand Project - an ongoing global demonstration aiming raise awareness about human trafficking.
