Channel 4/Click On Detroit revealed that an Eastern Michigan University employee is accused of recording a relative and her boyfriend participating in sex acts via hidden cameras. Michael Pickerel, an EMU alum and staff member at the College of Business’s Dean’s office, did not have hidden cameras on school property, but was placed on administrative leave on June 10 in relation to the accusations.

The theater department at EMU celebrated their opening night production of She Kills Monsters on Friday, May 31 at the Quirk-Sponberg Theater. She Kills Monsters is a heartwarming adventure through the geek culture of the 1990’s. With surprisingly professional audio and visual effects and a cast that brings the characters to life, She Kills Monsters is a must-see. This show will run through June 9, with 2 pm showings on June 2 and 9 and 7 pm showings on June 7 and 8. Tickets can be purchased at the Quirk box office or online at emutix.com. There will also be a special second run of the show the first weekend of the fall semester, starting September 5.
