Bronze Beauties and Kings of Color hosted the In Living Talent show to launch the Black Homecoming events on campus. After several acts, Vociferous Dom took home the prize for his vocal and trumpet performance.
The Business and Finance Committee allocated $1,443 to EMU Gospel Choirs last winter semester. The funds were never transferred to the organization’s account after paperwork was likely misplaced during the allocation process. The Senate passed a resolution on Tuesday, Oct. 8 to allocate the original amount plus $57 as an apology to the organization.
The LGBT Resource Center hosted its annual LGBTailgate on Oct. 9 in honor of homecoming week. At the event, students could enjoy food, friendship and a wide variety of outdoor activities, including corn hole, life-size Jenga and Connect Four and more.

The two suspects in the Pease A-1 lot armed robbery and carjacking incident have been arrested. The stolen vehicle, a 2010 Dodge Charger, was recovered.

On the evening of Sept. 26, students filled the Student Center Auditorium to enjoy a free comedy show hosted by Laugh-A-Minute-Enterprises and Campus Life. At the event, L.A.M.E. members showed off their comedic talent through performances such as improv games and ad-lib hilarity.
YpsiWrites will place writing centers a locations of the Ypsilanti District Library (YDL) to extend the writing support available at EMU into the Ypsilanti community. YpsiWrites is a collaberation between the Office of Campus & Community Writing at EMU YDL, 826 Michigan, and Washtenaw Literacy.
