SAFE shares ways to better campus life for LGBT students

Eastern Michigan University’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Resource Center hosted its SAFE campaign Tuesday in the Student Center to inform students and staff of ways to help maintain an inclusive campus for all people, regardless of sexual orientation.

The Eastern Michigan University Board of Regents held its monthly meeting Tuesday in Welch Hall, while a group of demonstrators stood outside to protest the use of the university’s former Huron logo on the recently purchased Marching Band uniforms.



	Eastern’s Walter Kraft, Geoff Larcom and Gloria Hage met with two workers affected by the issue, as well as student organizations that have been vocal about it.

Two workers from a closed-down factory in Indonesia visited Eastern Michigan University Wednesday to ask the university to sever its contract with Adidas and discuss their issues with the company.
