EMU Gymnastics tops rival Central Michigan University

The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team took on Mid-American Conference rival Central Michigan which resulted in a 193.525 - 192.925 win for EMU. The Eagles were led by senior Kara Roberts, who finished first place on vault, and junior Hadyn Crossen, who finished second in the all-around competition.

EMU gymnastics finished with three wins before cancellation

The Eastern Michigan Eagles (3-7) women’s gymnastics team concluded its 2020 season on March 7, against Michigan State University in East Lansing. The team was scheduled to play 13 meets this season but could only compete in 11 due to the cancellation related to COVID-19.

Eagles slip up on road versus Michigan State

The Eastern Michigan Eagles (3-7, 1-4) gymnastics team lost their most recent match versus Michigan State on Saturday, March 7 in East Lansing. The Spartans came away with a 195.625-194.200 victory, while the Eagles were led by Jada Rondeau, Emili Dobronics, Kara Roberts and Caitlin Satler.

EMU gymnastics finishes third at Georgia Triangular

The Eastern Michigan University’s Gymnastics team competed against the University of Georgia and Ball State University in a triangular at UGA on Friday, Feb. 14. The Bulldogs, the hosts of the event finished in first place with an overall score of 197.075. In second place was the Cardinals with an overall score of 194.725. Lastly, the Eagles finished third with an overall score of 194.700.

The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team lost its home opener against Central Michigan University on Sunday, Jan. 19. The match started on vault and the Eagles had the advantage in scoring after the first rotation but they were unable to hold on for the victory.

EMU gymnastics brings in largest class since 2002

The Eastern Michigan gymnastics team recently added four incoming freshman to its 2020 roster, per EMU Athletics. The four new additions are Danielle Coyne, Hannah Hartung, Arileyah Harris and Corey Melcher. The new signees are joining three other freshmen, Hadyn Crossen, Molly Parris and Mickayla Stuckey. The seven freshmen marks the biggest incoming freshmen class for the Eagles since 2002.

EMU Gymnastics Put Up Strong Scores at MAC Championships

 The Eastern Michigan gymnastics team placed third at the Mid-American Championships on Saturday in DeKalb, Illinois. The team finished with a 195.350 score, behind Northern Illinois (195.975) and Central Michigan (195.575). The Eagles fell 0.625 points short of winning their fourth conference championship.

 Eastern Michigan’s final dual meet at home of the season yielded arguably its best performance as they beat Kent State 196.025-193.900. On a night that was dedicated to the outgoing senior members, the underclassmen led the way for the Eagles.

Eastern Michigan University gymnastics overcame an early deficit to beat Mid-American Conference rival the Western Michigan Broncos 194.850-193.725 on Feb. 9 in the Convocation Center.

The Eastern Michigan University women’s gymnastics team earned a hard-fought victory with a 194.150-193.775 on the road against Bowling Green State University on Jan. 31. The game was moved from the Convocation Center to Anderson Arena due to the weather in Ypsilanti.

​Gymnastics goes ‘back to back’

The EMU gymnastics team picked up its second-straight Mid-American Conference tournament championship on Saturday in Bowling Green with a 196.500 The team set a program record on the bars with a 49.300 thanks to the contributions from Catie Conrad, Natalie Gervais and Lacey Rubin who all had career highs.
