Football and basketball recruits strengthen EMU athletics

On August 1, 2022, three-star cornerback Daiquan White announced his commitment to the Eastern Michigan University football program. White’s commitment boosted the Eagles into the number one spot in the 2023 recruiting class rankings (247sports.com). This marked the first time in program history that Eastern Michigan held the number one spot in the football recruiting class rankings within the Mid-American Conference.

EMU Football Fall 56-20 against Liberty in 2021 LendingTree Bowl

The Eastern Michigan Eagles trailed struggled in 34-26 loss against the Ohio University Bobcats. The upset defeat to the Bobcats (3-7 overall, 3-3 MAC) officially eliminates the Eagles (6-4 overall, 3-3 MAC) from MAC title contention. 

EMU football achieves Bowl game eligibility after 52-49 victory against Toledo

EMU not only became bowl eligible with this win against Toledo, but they also had not beaten Toledo in The Glass Bowl since 1999. 

Record breaking 55-24 victory for Eastern Michigan football against Bowling Green State University

The Eastern Michigan Eagles (5-3, 2-2 Mid-American Conference) scored three touchdowns in both the first and second half in a dominant 55-24 victory. 

Eastern Michigan football falls short in high-flying 38-31 shootout against Ball State

Ben Bryant threw 35/48 for 331 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, Dylan Drummond led the receivers with seven receptions adding up to 105 total yards, and Darius Boone Jr. racked up two touchdowns for the Eagles in their 38-31 loss to the Ball State Cardinals.

Eastern Michigan vs. Northern Illinois recap

The Eastern Michigan Eagles traveled to Huskie Stadium in Dekalb, Illinois for their first Mid-American Conference matchup against the Northern Illinois Huskies on Saturday, Oct. 2. The Eagles fought back from 17 unanswered points in the first half for the Huskies, ultimately falling short 20-27.

Eastern Michigan defeats UMass 42-28

On Sept. 18, EMU football traveled to Hadley, Massachusetts, to play against the UMass Minutemen. After a hard-fought game, the Eagles came out with a victory of 42-28.
