Eagles unable to complete comeback, fall to no. 14 Michigan State, 69-61

Despite mounting a comeback in the last two minutes, the Eastern Michigan women’s basketball team was unable to get past no. 14 ranked Michigan State University – falling 69-61 to the Spartans Sunday afternoon at the Breslin Center.

The Eastern Michigan women’s basketball team started its regular season with a 127-40 blowout win over Kent State University-Tuscarawas Friday at the Convocation Center. Eastern’s 127 points is the most scored since Nov. 30, 2013 when the Eagles scored 120 against Marygrove College. The 87-point victory is also a team-high (86 points vs. Temple Baptist University on Nov. 11, 2007).
