Eastern Michigan’s soccer game on Thursday, Oct. 24, was defensive. The game took place in Bowling Green at Cochrane Stadium. Bowling Green’s record of 6-5-4 isn't accessible for the Eagles. Despite the effort, both teams did not find the back of the net, resulting in a 0-0 tie.

Fresh off a dramatic Homecoming victory, Eastern Michigan University’s football team heads to Akron, Ohio, on Saturday, Oct. 26, with bowl eligibility in sight. The Eagles (5-2, 2-1 MAC) are set to face the University of Akron Zips (1-6, 0-3 MAC) at 3:30 p.m. in a Mid-American Conference (MAC) showdown at InfoCision Stadium. A win would mark Eastern's sixth of the season, securing bowl eligibility and moving the team closer to a strong finish in league play.

The new sequel "Smile 2" directed by Parker Finn hit theaters on Oct. 18. This film features Naomi Scott as the main character, Skye Riley. Her performance leaves the audience horrified. Fans consider whether this movie is better than the first film, "Smile."

Season two of "Tell Me Lies," based on Carola Lovering's best-selling novel, has fans obsessed. It was recently released on Hulu. This series features Grace Van Patten as Lucy Albright and Jackson White as Stephen DeMarco; their chemistry is undeniable. This is for a mature audience only.

Pat O’Connor, a former Eastern Michigan University football standout, made his debut for the Detroit Lions on Sunday, contributing to their 31-29 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. This was O’Connor’s first game with the Lions after being signed from the practice squad to the active roster, stepping up for a defense hit hard by injuries, including the loss of Aidan Hutchinson.

This film features Liam Hemsworth as Owen Brophy, Laura Dern as Katherine Lowe, and Diana Silvers as Lily Kemp. It is an adventure of love and discovering the truth behind loneliness. The film is rated R due to strong language and explicit content.

On Sunday, Oct. 13, after dinner service, employees of the Bobcat Bonnie’s in Ypsilanti received notice by email from management that all operations would be closed until further notice. Knowing that the lease for their building would expire in two weeks, employees were not hopeful for a reopening date.
