To work for The Eastern Echo, you must be an Eastern Michigan University student enrolled in at least six credit hours. Please email the managing editor with any questions.

All applicants for these positions must be full-time Eastern Michigan University students and maintain full-time status while serving on the team. 

Successful team members are those who meet deadlines, can work both individually and in groups, are good communicators and have an interest in public service and covering news, sports and feature stories. 

Preferred qualifications include: knowledge of AP Style; the ability to take photos with a smart phone; experience with word-processing and design software (such as Word, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and other content management systems); and successful completion of JRNL 215 News Reporting & Writing.

However, training will be made available for all of these skills.
