Curious about God? Have Some Questions For Clarity — Q&A with Abdu Murray — Feb. 4
Author Abdu Murray, president of Embrace the Truth International, visits Eastern Michigan University on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025 to offer a program where students can voice their honest questions. Murray will facilitate a comfortable, respectful and robust dialogue, allowing students to participate in honest and thoughtful conversation with the keynote speaker and their peers. Internship Fair — Feb. 5
Looking for an internship? Students can meet with industry employers regarding internships for various majors during the Internship Fair scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025 in the Student Center Ballroom. The fair is open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students and alumni looking for internship opportunities. To attend, students must register on Handshake, a networking app that connects job seekers with opportunities.
Upon arrival at the fair, students will check in and have the chance to walk through the Ready Room. This room is a space where students can mentally and physically prepare for the fair and even practice their introduction and elevator pitches. The Ready Room is open from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Dorm Room Cooking with Eagle Nutrition Services — Feb. 5
Eagle Nutrition Services offers cooking classes with tips and tricks for cooking healthy and delicious meals throughout the semester. This week, earn Learning Beyond the Classroom (LBC) credit and learn the basics of dorm room cooking in Rackham Hall 105 from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025. The class includes easy recipes and opportunities to sample the food. Vegetarian options are included. The class is free, but pre-registration is required.
RecWell Fest — Feb. 5
Recommit to personal well-being and find inspiration in activity during the festival at the REC/IM Building from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025. The RecWellFest includes activities, workshops and exhibitors focused on physical and mental health. The programs and events include debunking common wellness myths. TRUEMU Night with the Detroit Pistons — Feb. 5
The Detroit Pistons face the Cleveland Cavaliers at Little Caesars Arena for TRUEMU Night. Every ticket purchased includes a co-branded Pistons/EMU sweatshirt and a $5 donation to the EMU Student Emergency Fund. Health Professions Career Talks: Physical Therapy — Feb. 6
The Introduction to Exercise Science class includes guest speakers in various health profession fields, such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, and orthotics and prosthetics. Students interested in pre-health are encouraged to attend this talk about health professions. The event is free and approved for LBC credit. Budget Basics with Scott Teasdale — Feb. 7
Wondering how to allocate a student income to cover all those things a student needs? Join Scott Teasdale, director of EMU's Office of Research Development and Administration, for a budget workshop from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 7, 2025.
