Knitting Plus - Jan. 7

Head down to the Ypsilanti District Library at 5577 Whittaker Road to share projects and ideas with fellow knitters from 6 to 8 p.m.

Meditation with Ease - Jan. 7

Relax and practice wellness at the Ypsilanti District Library-Superior at 1900 Harris Road from 6 to 7 p.m.

Men's Basketball vs Akron - Jan. 8

Watch the Eagles take on the Akron Kangaroos at the George Gervin GameAbove Center. This is a free all-day event.

Marking Place Opening Reception - Jan. 9

Attend the opening reception for Marking Place, a student art exhibition held in the Student Center University Gallery. This free, LBC credit-approved event runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Riverside Swings - Jan. 10

Learn to Swing Dance or show off your skills at the Riverside Arts Center. Admission is $5 for general and $4 for students with free dance lessons from 8 to 9 p.m. Open dance runs from 9 to 11:30 p.m.

Washtenaw County Safety and Security Conference - Jan. 11

Come talk about personal safety, community safety, environmental safety and digital safety in a conference hosted by the Women’s Resource Center in the Student Center Grand Ballroom. This LBC credit-approved event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

New Year Birding - Jan. 11

Watch local birds by River Raisin at the Leonard Preserve. This event runs from 8 to 10 a.m. Bring your own binoculars and sign up here.

Intro to Archery (18+) - Jan. 12

Learn basic arrow shooting skills and safety at the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Register here

Sprinkles & Smiles: Cookie Decorating Fun - Jan. 13
