October, the month hosting Halloween, is full of frightful fun for those seeking a scare or two. And for those on a budget, options remain. Check out these haunted attractions offering an admission fee of $20 or less. From Oct. 1 through the first weekend in November, these venues are open to the public. To gauge their effectiveness at offering a good Halloween scare, 15 people ages 20 through 30 were asked a series of questions, starting with whether they enjoyed Halloween. Ten out of the 15 said yes. One of the crew, Grace Matthews, explained the enjoyment in terms of the thrill of Halloween: "Being scared is fun," she said.

In an online review, Maliha Khan said, “Such a fun and scary haunted house! The trail lasts about 20-25 minutes. I’ve been to a lot of haunted houses/trails/hayrides but this has to be the best one. Props and actors were amazing. Everything was organized and scheduled well. (We weren’t running into other groups on the trail/) I would definitely recommend giving this a try over some of the other haunted houses. Also buy your tickets online because it will be cheaper than buying them at the door.”
Halloween might be over but these Halloween Attractions plan to be available next year. Mark them on your to-do list for your spooky experience. Each attraction has opportunities for children and adults of all ages.
