Check out these events happening on and around Eastern Michigan University's campus this week.

Welcome Back Picnic - Aug. 26

Go down to the George Gervin GameAbove Center and enjoy games, cornhole, and Kona Ice. Programming starts at 6 p.m. in the GameAbove Center, and the main picnic starts around 6:30 on Crosby Field, the new playing surface inside Rynearson Stadium.

Get Hands-On In The Gardens! - Aug. 27

Are you looking for a way to take part in your community and grow your gardening skills? Look no further than this gardening event at Nelson Meade County Farm Park, a beautiful Ann Arbor public park! Gloves and snacks are available, and the event runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. RSVP for this event here.

Eaglefest - Aug. 27

Kick off the semester and meet EMU's many student organizations at Eaglefest! This event takes place in the Student Center University Park from 4-7 p.m. The rain location is the Student Center Ballroom. Contact Karen Thompson at Kthomp@emich.edu with any questions.

Student Employment Fair - Aug. 28

Are you looking for a job on or close to campus? Come check out some available options at the Student Employment Fair. This event takes place in the Student Center Ballroom and runs from 1-4 p.m. Employers include Aflac, Apple Playschools, Busch's Market, Emagine Health Services, Detroit's FBI office, and several EMU offices and departments. Ice Cream with the CHHS Deans - Aug. 29

Meet the College of Health and Human Services deans and enjoy a sweet treat outside of the Marshall Building from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Movie Night - Aug. 29

Catch "Inside Out 2" at Rynearson Stadium at this free movie night. Gates open at 7 p.m., and the film starts around 7:30 p.m.

“The Addams Family Musical” - Aug. 30

See "The Addams Family Musical" at the Riverside Arts Center. Price ranges from $15 to $25, and the musical begins at 7 p.m.

Blue Hues Bigband: Debut - Aug. 31

Hear former EMU instructor Mark Pappas’ musical works at The Colonnade at Riverside Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public, and begins at 3 p.m.

Latinos Unidos Soccer at Frog Island - Sept. 1

Hop on down to Frog Island Park to watch Latinos Unidos Soccer from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
