Eastern Michigan University has announced a performance by The Temptations, a well-known singing group, and the EMU Marching Band, the "Pride of the Peninsula," at halftime during the EMU vs Miami University football game, Saturday, October 12, at Rynearson Stadium.
Detroit native and EMU alum, Jawan M. Jackson, joined The Temptations in 2022, and will be making his way back to his alma mater for this highly anticipated performance.
The Temptations are a legendary vocal group best known for their smooth harmonies and choreography, as well as their string of hits during the 1960s and 1970s including, “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination,” “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone,” and “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg.”
With their influential role in the development of soul and R&B music and having sold tens of millions of records, The Temptations remain one of the most successful groups in popular music.

Prior to the game, tickets start at $20. Additionally, group tickets begin at $8 per person for groups of 15 or more. The October 12 game time will be announced 12 days before kickoff.
