EMU Tennis earns team and individual ITA awards

The Eastern Michigan University tennis team has been honored as a 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team recipient, and four Eagles have been recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes for achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The Eagles finished the season with a cumulative GPA of 3.502, recording the ITA team record for the fifth consecutive season. Teams must maintain a 3.2 GPA to qualify for the award, including all student-athletes listed on the institution eligibility form, reflecting the academic performance of all varsity letter winners.

Four eagles were individually recognized for their achievements. The list includes Sabina Brichackova, Regina Mendez, Andrea Quiroz, and Vidisha Reddy.

These ITA accolades mark the second national recognition of the season for Brichackova and Quiroz, who were also named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
