What's the move? May 15-19

Check out these events happening around Eastern Michigan University's campus this week.

PTD Productions: "Glengarry Glen Ross" - May 15-18

Watch a local theatre production of David Mamet's play "Glengarry Glen Ross." Directed by Liz Greaves-Hoxsie, the performances will take place at Riverside Arts Center on May 15 at 2 p.m. and on May 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets cost $20 each and can be bought online through the PTD Productions website.

Depot Town Comedy Open Mic - May 15

Head to 734 Brewing Company for a night of comedy. Hosted and emceed by Lisa Green, the comedy night will run from 7:30-10:30 p.m. The show is free to attend.

EMU Giving Garden Planting Day - May 16

Join the EMU Botany Club for an afternoon of planting flowers and vegetables. The plots that will be plotted in are donation plots, with the future harvest to later be donated to Swoop's Pantry. Gardening tools and gloves will be provided, and it is recommended to bring water. The event will run from 12-5 p.m. at 24 Westview St. in Ypsilanti.

Ypsilanti Community Choir: Spring Concert - May 16

The Ypsilanti Community Choir will be hosting its Spring Concert at Towsley Auditorium. Multiple pieces will be performed, including some pieces by Irving Berlin and Simon and Garfunkel. With the concert also including Derek Ronayne as a guest soloist, the performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Community BBQ - May 17

Join A Brighter Way for its second annual Community BBQ event, with food and beverages available. The event will take place from 3-7 p.m. at Riverside Park, and it is free to attend.

Neighborhood Theatre Group: "Lee's Grand Tiki" - May 17-19

Watch the Neighborhood Theatre Group's production of Greg Pizzino's play "Lee's Grand Tiki." Directed by Kristin Anne Danko, the performances will be held at The Back Office Studio. The shows on May 17 and May 18 will take place at 8 p.m., with the show on May 19 beginning at 2 p.m. General admission tickets cost $15 each and they can be bought online through the Neighborhood Theatre Group's website.

Free Yoga - May 18

The Mix Fitness Studios will be hosting a free yoga event at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse from 10-11 a.m. All donations from the session will go toward benefiting Ypsi Pride. Participants are asked to bring their own mat.

Off Color Art Fest - May 18-19

Head to Corner Brewery to witness a new art festival in Ypsilanti. The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both May 18 and May 19.
