Finals Lounge - Dec. 11-14
Stressing about your finals? Take a break at Campus Life’s Finals Lounge located on the first floor of the Student Center, across from the EMU Bookstore in Campus Life’s Spectral Slumber blanket fort. Activities are scheduled for Dec. 11-14 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., each day including brunch from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., tea and snacks from 2 - 6 p.m., free massages from 2 - 6 p.m., and daily movie bingo starting at 2 p.m. (Dec. 11 - Knives Out, Dec. 12 - Space Jam, Dec. 13 - Crazy Rich Asians, Dec. 14 - Ferris Bueller’s Day Off). Board games and coloring are also available each day from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Night Owl Finals Fuel Up - Dec. 11
Enjoy having breakfast for dinner? Enjoy a free breakfast to kick off finals week at Nightowl Finals Fuel Up on Dec. 11 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. located in the Student Center Ballroom. The menu consists of donuts, pancakes, bacon, turkey sausages, eggs, oatmeal, seasoned potatoes, apple and orange juice, and water.
Musical Theatre Acting Showcase 2023 - Dec. 11
Enjoy musical theatre? Join EMU Theatre for a night of music from the shows The King and I, Les Miserables, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Gypsy, Funny Girl, Waitress, and more. 2023’s Musical Theatre Acting Showcase is on Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. located in the Sponberg Theatre.
Paws and Pages - Dec. 12
Love dogs? Take a break during finals week and recharge with furry therapy. Join Spencer the Therapy Dog for Paws and Pages in Halle Library’s lobby on Dec. 12 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Christmas Vacation Trivia - Dec. 12
Interested in a holiday movie-themed trivia night? Head downtown to Ypsilanti’s Bobcat Bonnie’s for a night of Christmas vacation-themed trivia on Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. Free to play and no sign-up is required!
PRSSA: Decorating Ornaments Event - Dec. 13
Feeling festive? EMU’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is getting into the holiday spirit with ornament decorating. Join PRSSA on Dec. 13 from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Student Center lobby tables to craft your very own ornament!
Depot Town Comedy Open Mic - Dec. 13
Looking for a good laugh? Join local Ypsi comic and host Lisa Green at the Depot Town Comedy Open Mic, a weekly event, on Dec. 13 from 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. located at 734 Brewing Company. This comedy show is free and welcomes all to the inclusive comedy space.
Riverside Swings - Dec. 15
Enjoy swing dancing or would like to learn? Attend Riverside Arts Center’s weekly event Riverside Swings on Dec. 15 from 9 - 11:30 p.m. located at Riverside Arts Center. People of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend. General admission costs $5 and student admission costs $4, with a free beginner lesson available before the main event from 8 - 9 p.m.
