Eastern Michigan Vs. Kentucky State

EMU Soccer Falls In Final Minutes to Bowling Green, 3-2.

The Eastern Michigan University’s women’s soccer team went on the road to face the Bowling State Green Falcons in Bowling Green, Ohio, on Sunday, Oct. 8, losing to the Falcons by a score of 3-2.

The Eagles once held the lead 2-1, 60 minutes into the match, but two goals scored by Bowling Green at the 60:10 mark and the 87:59 mark were good enough to give the Falcons the win.

EMU scored 28 minutes into the match on a goal from freshman Olivia Sipsock, marking her fourth goal of the season for the Eagles.

At the 41-minute mark of the game, junior Meagan Lukowski added another goal for EMU, etching her fifth goal of the season including her second in three games. The Bay City native leads the Eagles with five goals on the season, just one ahead of Sipsock.

In addition to the goal she scored, Lukowksi had EMU's only assist for the game.

The Eagles have now lost two consecutive matches for just the second time this season. They now fall to 1-2-2 in MAC play, and in every MAC matchup except for Northern Illinois on Thursday, the Eagles have only lost by one goal or less, tied or win.

Next up, the Eagles will be in action against Toledo on the road on Thursday, Oct. 12. First kick is set for 7 p.m.
