Late Night Yoga - April 10
Sistas That Care will be hosting a night of yoga to help aid in relaxation prior to finals. Running from 7-9 p.m., the session will be held in yoga room 127 of the Rec/IM.
Festival of Whimsy - April 11
Join Campus Life in mixing potions, constructing maps, creating wands, and more. With refreshments available, the festival will take place from 3-5 p.m. in the University Park.
Iftar Celebration - April 11
The Arab Society is partnering with E|Dining to provide an all-halal Ramadan menu. The food items on the menu will be served from sundown to 9 p.m. at The Commons.
The Next Chapter - April 11
Join Kings of Color in learning about life following graduation. Eastern alumni will be present to share their experiences and the challenges faced after graduating, and food and refreshments will be available. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. in room 330 of the Student Center.
Tea Party - April 11
Join Sistas That Care and the Women's Resource Center for a brunch-style tea party from 6-9 p.m. in room 330 of McKenny Guild Hall. RSVP is required to attend.
National Arab American Heritage Month - April 12
The Center of Race and Ethnicity will be celebrating National Arab American Heritage Month with traditional treats. These treats will be provided from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the lobby tables in the Student Center.
The Wellness Fair - April 12
Join Sistas That Care in a day dedicated to self-care that includes activities, a DJ, and walking tacos. The fair will run from 5-8 p.m. at the outdoor basketball courts.
Salary Negotiation Workshop - April 12
The Women's Resource Center and the University Advising Career and Development Center are teaming up to host a virtual workshop through Zoom regarding salary negotiations. The workshop will run from 6-7 p.m., and information regarding the Zoom can be accessed @emuwomenscenter on Instagram.
Let's Grow - April 13
Sistas That Care will be hosting an event in which seeds will be sown into jars. Taking place from 6-8 p.m., the event will be held at Big Bob's Lakehouse.
Movie Night: It Happened Here - April 13
The Women's Resource Center will be hosting a movie night to aid in bringing awareness to sexual assault. With a guest from SafeHouse Center and refreshments available, the event will run from 6-8 p.m. in room 350 of the Student Center.
Around the World in One Day - April 13
Join the International Student Association for a day dedicated to learning more about over 15 countries. The event will consist of a poster exhibition, a presentation, international food, and more. Taking place from 6-9 p.m. on the first floor of the Student Center, the event is LBC credit approved.
EMU Student Media Gala - April 13
The Eastern Echo and Cellar Roots are teaming up to host the EMU Student Media Gala. Aiming to highlight the impact and importance of student media, the gala will consist of a speaker, a silent auction, a taco bar, and a dessert table. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse, and the link to purchase tickets can be accessed @easternechoofficial on Instagram.
"9 to 5 The Musical" - April 14-16
EMU Theatre will finish its run of "9 to 5 The Musical," a production based upon the 1980 film "9 to 5." With lyrics and music written by Dolly Parton, showtimes are on April 14-15 at 7 p.m. and on April 16 at 2 p.m. All productions will take place at the Legacy Theatre, and student admission is $12.
Unicorn Festival - April 15
Presented by Unicorn Feed & Supply, the Unicorn Festival is returning for its second year with multiple festivities, such as a dance party, interactive sensory stations, sweet treats, a sparkle station, and more. With two time slots, the event will run from 12-2 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. at the Riverside Arts Center, and the link to purchase tickets can be accessed @unicornfeedsupply on Instagram.
