In their regular-season finale, the Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team hosted Bowling Green State University inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center on Sunday, March 12. With a season-best and final score of 195.800 overall, the Eagles just edged over the Falcons’ 195.250 points.
EMU came out on top for points in the uneven parallel bars and floor exercise events. Both of these were capped by career-high performances from junior Raisa Boris, who would ultimately lead the all around results with 39.350 individual points.
In addition to the victory, the Eagles also celebrated their seven seniors: Hadyn Crossen, Arileyah Harris, Hannah Hartung, Corey Melcher, Molly Parris, Mickayla Stuckey, and Mayleigh Vanderbeek, for Senior Night.
This coming weekend, the team will travel to Kent, Ohio, for the 2023 MAC Championships at Kent State on Saturday, March 18, at 2 p.m.
