The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team competed inside the Crisler Centre at the University of Michigan’s quad exhibition on Dec. 10. The Eagles placed fourth earning 190.200 as the team score.
The Eagles started the afternoon on the beam with Freshman Kyrie Lowe leading on the apparatus with a 9.800 and the team finished the event with a 47.675 score. The second rotation for the eagles was the floor where Lowe led the event once again with a 9.600. Junior Trinity Macy and Senior Hadyn Crossen both scored 9.550. EMU earned a total of 46.675 for a running score of 94.350.
Senior Molly Parris led Eastern in the third rotation scoring a 9.625 on the apparatus, while Junior Raisa Boris earned a 9.500 on vault. The team made a 46.850 score in the third rotation on vault. The team finished its third rotation with a 141.200 running score.
Kyrie Lowe continued her dominance on bars, earning the highest score for the team at 9.850. The Eagles finished the meet on bars with a 49.000 score, the best event score for Eastern. EMU completed the fourth and final rotation and the meet with a 190.200 team score.
The Eagles will head to Tempe, Ariz., on Jan. 13, to compete with Arizona State University and the University of California Davis for the team's first official meet of the season. It is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. MST (9 p.m. EST).
