Join Ypsilanti in celebrating Halloween with events leading up to the holiday

Pregame Halloween with some spooky events in Ypsilanti and then go on campus for some non-spooky fun and activities. 

Honors College Star Lecturer series: Oct. 19

Join speaker Professor Jessica "Decky" Alexander for her talk on Tools for the Weary and Worried: Improvisational Play for Everyday Life. This event is from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m in the Honors College Auditorium. This is an LBC-approved event.

Love your Body Day: Oct. 19

Join the Women's Resource Center for a night of body positivity and fun activities. Come in your PJs and watch some movie clips, and have a discussion about what body positivity is. This event runs from 6-8 p.m. in the Student Center room 320.

Pride Pumpkin Painting: Oct. 20

Join the Honors College in celebrating the spooky season and OUTober by painting pride-themed pumpkins. This event runs from 5 to 6 p.m.

Spooky Double Feature: Oct. 20

There will be a classic movie showing of Hocus Pocus first and then a modern scary movie showing of Nope from 7 to 11:00 p.m in the Student Center auditorium.

Pumpkin and Pints: Oct. 20

Located in the basement of Bobcat Bonnies join Keystone Bar and Arcade for an event for all ages. For $15 you'll receive a pumpkin and carving kit, candy, and any draft beer or non-alcoholic beverage.

Black Cat Cabaret: Oct. 21-22

Join Neighborhood Theatre Group at the Riverside Art Center where they will conjure Black Cat Cabaret from the dead with songs, spells, and screams.

GLOWmaking lanterns : Oct. 22

Join artist Lynne Settles to make a glow lantern for this year's ypsiGLOW event that will take place on Oct. 28. This event will run from 2 to 3 p.m at the Ypsilanti District Library and is a free all-ages event.

West Willow Trunk or Treat & Spook House: Oct. 22

Join the West Willow Community Resource Center for a family-friendly Halloween event. Bring your cars and decorate your trunks and enjoy free candy, a spook house, area food vendors, and community collaboration. This event runs from 3-6 p.m. at the West Willow Farmers Market.
