At first, when I was accepted to several universities at once, I had to make a decision on which of them I should attend. I won't lie: making such a decision isn't easy. It is like choosing your life path, which will affect the way you live forever; therefore, students try to be as careful as they can to ensure that they reach their goals.
Speaking from my own experience, I was so nervous about graduating high school and transferring to college life, which is way different from high school life. However, I had to make a choice, and that choice ended up being Eastern Michigan University. First, I got an amazing scholarship offer from EMU that made it the top choice on my university list. While I did receive prestigious scholarship offers from other universities, EMU also offered me a spot in the Honors College.
Moreover, when I took virtual tours, I felt like EMU was more welcoming. The feeling that you belong to a place is impossible to describe, but I sensed it at EMU. The alumni were so gracious and kind to me that they made me feel less nervous about my decision.
Furthermore, since choosing EMU, I have never regretted my choice because all professors, advisors and fellow students are gracious. Being a part of EMU today gives me a profound sense of belonging and pride. Even the A's that I have on my transcript are because I made the right choice by following my heart and my feelings.
In the end, I would suggest that people always follow the sound of their hearts because feelings are not meant to be ignored.
