The Ypsilanti Fire Department and Eastern Michigan University Police Department responded to a fire in an empty computer lab at the Mark Jefferson Science Complex on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire is being investigated as suspected arson, according to EMU police.
The fire was contained to a computer in room 152, and no injuries have been reported, according to EMU. The room’s sprinkler system was activated, and the building was evacuated.
