Eastern Michigan University will host the 2021 Digital Marketing Workshop through online panels from Monday, Nov. 8 to Thursday, Nov. 11.
The workshop, titled “Digital Renaissance," will offer “expert insight into the fields of marketing, entrepreneurship, digital infrastructure, PR, and more,” the university said.
A luncheon will be held once the workshop is complete on Friday, Nov. 12, at the EMU Student Center. The luncheon will feature Brent Bowles, the vice president of Digital Marketing at Wells Fargo.
“Brent will highlight the challenges of building digital marketing in a highly regulated sector, managing a distributed workforce, and emerging trends in digital finance,” Bud Gibson, a marketing professor at the EMU Center for Digital Engagement, said.
Bowles will be featured at the workshop alongside speakers from other notable organizations, such as the Sam Bernstein Law Firm, Google, Pinterest, The Lip Bar, Skidmore Studio, and Green Route, according to the university.
“Like years past, our goal each day of the workshop is to leave attendees with actionable insights that they can apply directly in their digital marketing efforts,“ Gibson said.
There will be significant changes in the digital landscape in the coming years, the university said. The need and desire for more media-based approaches to connect with the world are essential, and the workshop centers around the revival of digital and how it will continue to alter the marketing industry.
