Campus-Area Crime Map: March 14 through March 28

The campus–area crime map is a report of criminal activity that has been reported in the Ypsilanti-area, as well as on the campus of Eastern Michigan University.

As of Sunday, March 28, the latest crime reported in the city of Ypsilanti was up to Wednesday, March 24

Multiple crimes from single individual - March 14 - An individual was arrested at North Huron Street and West Forest Avenue for a number of things at 3:40 a.m. These crimes being possession of synthetic narcotics, carrying a concealed weapon under the influence, open liquor transportation, and fleeing from police. This case is now closed.

Crack, drug paraphernalia, and open alcohol in vehicle - March 14 - A person was found with open alcohol in their vehicle along with crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia at Ballard Street and Washtenaw Avenue at 10:18 p.m. This case is open.

Subject arrested on warrants - March 17 - A subject was arrested on warrants and liquor violations at West Cross Street and Ballard Street at 6:35 p.m. This case is closed.

Open liquor in vehicle - March 20 - An individual was reported driving with no license, and had open liquor containers in the vehicle. This occurred at North Hamilton Street and Olive Street at 5:53 p.m. This case is closed.

Trespassing - March 20 - A subject was reported trespassing in Munson Apartments at 10:19 p.m. This case is closed.

Open liquor in vehicle - March 21 - A driver was reported with no vehicle insurance, no license, and had open liquor containers in the vehicle. This occurred at South Hamilton Street and Catherine Street at 4:24 a.m. This case is now closed.

Public Drunkenness - March 22 - A subject was reported very drunk in public at West Cross Street and Ballard Street at 2:17 a.m. The person was taken to the hospital. The case is now closed.

Fleeing police/reckless driving - March 23 - A subject was reported driving recklessly which led them to flee the police. This occurred at North Huron River Drive and Westview Street at 2:31 a.m. This case is now closed.

Property damage/assault - March 24 - A subject was reported causing damage to private property at Pitman Hall. The subject then was arrested for assault/battery/simple (including domestic and on police) at 3:04 p.m. This case is open.
