Despite the pandemic, Swoop's Pantry, EMU's on-campus food pantry, is continuing to serve students in need of groceries, hygiene items, clothes, and other basic goods. Joelle Summers, the graduate assistant at Swoop's Pantry, discusses the changes that were made to accommodate this emergency situation.
Clients are asked to submit a shopping request form. New customers should complete an intake form. Those who wish to make a donation are asked to contact swoops_pantry@emich.edu. As of April 8, there is a greater need for:
- Bread
- Pasta sauce
- Ketchup and other condiments
- Garbanzo beans
- Large snack food items
- Size 6 diapers
- Toilet paper
- Self care items such as lotions, bubble bath, etc.
- Creative items such as journals, crayons, markers, etc.
