Eastern Echo's Weekly Playlist: Dec. 9, 2019

A weekly playlist designed to offer up new music to the Echo community each week.

Atmospheric sounds intermingle with soft words to create a relaxed environment. Worries fade into the background, and there is nothing to do, besides listen and enjoy. This weeks playlist is trance-like. I suggest setting aside time to listen to it, and then immersing yourself into the noise.

Diving into the unknown, settling at the bottom. Sitting and watching, listening. You won’t want to say goodbye, but each song will end. And then the next one will come, and the cycle will repeat.

Each song is a step. And they stack on one of each other, and the path grows. You can listen to this playlist, and you can walk down the path I’ve curated. And even though I’ve put it all together, I couldn’t tell you what’s at the end. What I found, is different from what you will.

It’s different because I haven't loved the same people you have. I haven’t walked down the same road as you.

Some of my favorite “steps” in the playlist are, “Love” by Lana Dela Rey, “K” by Cigarettes After Sex, and “Somebody Else” by the 1975.

For next week, consider sending me music requests. Go to our Echo Opinions Instagram page @echoopinions and just send a direct message. I look forward to hearing from you.
