Eastern Michigan University Police Investigating Armed Robbery and Carjacking at Pease A-1 Lot

Two suspects approached an Eastern Michigan University student with a handgun demanding money and their car keys. The two suspects got into the student's vehicle and fled the spot.

The Eastern Michigan University Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery/carjacking that happened at the Pease A-1 lot on Oct. 1, reported at 10:31 p.m.

The victim is an EMU student who reported that two suspects approached him while he was trying to get into his vehicle. One of the subjects had a handgun and demanded the victim’s car keys and money. The two suspects then took the vehicle and fled. No injuries have been reported. 

Suspect 1 is described as a black male, approximately 18 years old, 5’5” tall, 125lbs, last seen wearing a red/blue/white jacket and blue jeans.

Suspect 2 is described as a black male, approximately 18 years old, 5’9” tall, 140lbs, last seen wearing a white and black sweatshirt, black backpack and grey sweatpants. Suspect 2 was seen with a small black firearm.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2010 Dodge Charger.

Geoff Larcom, executive director of media relations at EMU, said the investigation is ongoing. “We will be sure to offer any updates should the investigation lead to any arrests, ect.”
