The Thunder Over Michigan Air Show will return to Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti on August 3 and 4. The two day event will feature flying performances and dozens of aircraft on the ground, according to a press release.
This year's event will feature the world's largest gathering of Corsair fighter-bombers. These carrier-based aircraft served as some of the most capable fighter-bombers in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
The USAF F-16 Viper Demo team will perform along with Red Bull Air Race Champion Michael Goulian and Jack Links Screamin Sasquatch.
Other attractions include dozens of vintage and modern military aircraft on the ground, World War II battles and rides on vintage aircraft and Huey and Cobra helicopters.
The Yankee Air Museum is a non-profit organization that preserves aviation history and inspires youth through workshops, classes and educational trips. It'll also include other activities for kids including a fun zone, bounce houses, monster ruck rides, food and drinks.
Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Kids fifteen and under get in free.
