Police Blotter March 25 – March 31

Sunday, March 25

A student reported being harassed by their ex-boyfriend on the phone at 12:42 p.m. The crime occurred at 12 p.m. at Hoyt Hall. 

Monday, March 26

Two students were reported for smoking marijuana in the Green Lot 1 parking lot at 2:05 a.m. 

A report of assault in battery ‘disturbance’ in the Green Lot 2 parking lot came to EMU police at 1:28 p.m. 

A bike was reportedly stolen from outside the Halle Library between March 24, 10:30 a.m. and March 25, 11 p.m. The crime was reported on March 26, 6:27 p.m. 

Objects were reportedly stolen from Sill Hall on March 25, 11:15 p.m. The crime was reported on March 26, 11:42 p.m. 

Tuesday, March 27

Laundry was reportedly stolen from Phelps Residence Hall’s laundry room between March 24, 10 p.m. and March 27, 1:50 a.m. The crime was reported on March 27, 2:02 a.m. 

An individual reported seeing Facebook posts about alleged sexual assault at the Student Center at 10:24 a.m. 

An individual was reported for consuming marijuana at a music event at the Student Center at 7:18 p.m. 

Wednesday, March 28

The Ypsilanti Police Department responded to a report of assault and battery at 202 N. Normal Street at 8:57 p.m. 

The Ypsilanti Police Department responded to a report of forced-entry burglary at 707 Pearl Street at 9:10 p.m. 

The Ypsilanti Police Department responded to a report of property damage to private property at 709 Pearl Street at 10:04 p.m. 

Thursday, March 29

The Ypsilanti Police Department responded to a report of assault and battery at 402 W. Michigan Avenue at 3:33 a.m. 

A driver was cited for driving while their license was suspended during a routine traffic stop at Huron River Drive and Leforge Road at 1:31 a.m. 

A juvenile individual was reported for disorderly conduct at the Student Center at 10:23 a.m.

Friday, March 30

A driver was found driving under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop at Washtenaw Avenue and North Adams Street at 4:42 a.m. 

A forced-entry burglary in the Village Building E was reported at 9:09 p.m. 

Saturday, March 31  

An individual was arrested on warrants at Hill Residence Hall at 12:12 a.m.
