Police Blotter Jan. 7 – Jan. 13

Sunday, Jan. 7 

A student was reported for disorderly conduct at 10:08p.m. The crime occurred in Phelps Residence Hall at the same time it was reported. 

Monday, Jan. 8

A student falsely reported that his vehicle had been stolen. Police noted the falsity at 1:09p.m. 

Tuesday, Jan. 9

A fraudulent unemployment claim was discovered at the Mckenny Union at 12:49p.m. The crime was reported at 3:55p.m. 

A driver was issued an appearance citation from driving while their license was suspended at Ann Street and Huron River Drive at 4:18p.m. The driver was also reported for having improper vehicle registration. 

A student reported unwanted sexual contact at 5:59p.m. The crime occurred in Hoyt Residence Hall between 1:30a.m. and 3a.m. 

Another driver was issued an appearance citation for driving while their license was suspended at Hewitt Road and Huron River Drive at 6:13p.m. The driver also had no vehicle insurance. 

A student was revived after overdosing on heroin at Hill Residence Hall at 8:35p.m. The student was in possession of both heroin and narcotic equipment. 

Thursday, Jan. 11

A homicide was reported by the Ypsilanti Police Department at 11:21p.m. The crime took place at 725 Green Road, where the individual was shot and killed. 

An individual received a threatening note from another at the Warner Gymnasium between 4p.m. and 6p.m. on Jan. 8. The crime was reported on Jan. 11 at 3:05p.m. 

Friday, Jan. 12

Police found a baggie with marijuana residue with an individual at 1254 Leforge Road at 5:14p.m. The crime was reported at the same time. 

Saturday, Jan. 13

A parking hang tag was stolen from a vehicle parking in Green Lot 1 between Jan. 9, 6p.m. and Jan. 11, 12p.m. The crime was reported on Jan. 13, 12:26p.m.
