Police Blotter Nov. 26 – Dec. 1

Sunday, Nov. 26

The Ypsilanti Police Department reported a driver operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol at Washtenaw Avenue and Ballard Street at 12:26a.m. The driver was also reported with possession of marijuana. 

A student’s Eagle One card was stolen from Hoyt Residence Hall between 12a.m. and 1a.m. The crime was reported at 11:46a.m. and closed. 

A couple was reported for disturbing the peace with their loud, verbal disagreement at Wise Residence Hall at 10:37p.m. 

Monday, Nov. 27

An individual was found trespassing in Sellers Residence Hall at 12:34a.m. The individual provided false information to police during a marijuana investigation and was in possession of both marijuana and narcotic equipment. 

A driver was cited for driving with an expired license and having expired vehicle insurance at N. Hamilton Street and W. Cross Street and 4:28a.m. 

A driver failed to stop and identify after damaging private property at the South Oakwood Lot at 7:28a.m. 

An individual was arrested for outstanding bench warrants at the Westview Apartments at 3:57p.m. 

The ex-boyfriend of an individual was cited for stalking after repeated unwanted contact at Marshall Hall at 7:20p.m. 

An individual was reported for marijuana use at the Westview Apartments D at 10:44p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 28

A bike was stolen from behind a house on S. Hamilton Street between Nov. 26, 11a.m. and Nov. 28, 9:20a.m. The crime was reported at 10:04a.m. 

A parked vehicle was keyed at the Pease paid lot between Nov. 27, 8:50a.m. and Nov. 27, 1:20p.m. The crime was reported at 11:43a.m. on Nov. 28. 

Cash was stolen from an unsecured locker at the Olds Robb Student Rec between 1p.m. and 2:15p.m. The crime was reported at 2:19p.m. 

During a traffic stop, a driver was cited for operating a vehicle while their license was suspended (DWLS) at Washtenaw Avenue and N. Hewitt Road at 3:53p.m. 

A driver failed to stop and identify after an accident at Green Lot 1 at 8:01p.m. 

Wednesday, Nov. 29

An individual failed to stop and appear for warrant arrest at 12:30a.m. at 1200 Oakwood Street. 

A driver failed to stop and identify after hitting another vehicle in the Ford Commuter Lot between 7:40a.m. and 3:20p.m. The crime was reported at 3:33p.m. 

An individual damaged the parking gate arm at the Student Center paid lot at 10:03pm. on Monday, Nov. 27, leaving the lot without paying. The individual was also driving while their license was suspended. The crime wasn’t reported till 3:34p.m. on Wednesday. 

A student reported a hit and run in the Ford Commuter lot at 4:50p.m. 

Thursday, Nov. 30

A driver was reported for driving with license suspended and presenting no insurance for their car at W. Michigan Avenue and N. Adams Street at 1:51a.m. 

Individuals were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and paraphernalia at the Ann Street parking lot at 9:34p.m. 

A minor student was reported for possession of alcohol in the Village Building E at 11:34p.m. 

Friday, Dec. 1

An individual was lodged on failure to appear (FTA) warrants at 1:14a.m. 

Credit cards and a driver’s license were taken from a student’s purse at the Rackham between 9:45a.m. and 5:30p.m. on Nov. 29. The crime was reported at 11:14a.m. on Dec. 1. 

At 8:38p.m., as female student reported unwanted contact from another individual at 1200 Oakwood Street at 6:00a.m.
