Police Blotter for Nov. 5

Sunday, Nov. 5

The Ypsilanti Police Dept. responded to and reported an assault and battery at 9:48a.m. on Jarvis Street. 

A fugitive was arrested with assistance from another agency at 1:47p.m. on N. Congress Street and Oakwood Street. The individual has a warrant out for their arrest . 

Monday, Nov. 6

An individual failed to appear (FTA) at 9:27a.m. on Oakwood Street. 

A female was arrested on warrant for failing to appear (FTA) at 3:44p.m. on Oakwood Street. The case was closed on Nov. 8.

An unidentified item was set on fire in the Green Lot at 8:59p.m. The crime was reported at the same time, and the case was closed on Nov. 7. 

A student reported the odor of marijuana at Hoyt Resident Hall at 10:30p.m. The case was closed on Nov. 7. 

Tuesday, Nov. 7

An individual was arrested with reference to an EMU PD bench warrant at Belleville Road at 10:10a.m. 

A male student was reported for stalking a female student in Best Residence Hall. The crime occurred between 8a.m., Oct. 31 and 2p.m., Nov. 3. The crime was reported at 11:03a.m. Nov. 7. 

A resident was reported for possession of marijuana in the Westview Apts. H at 1:18p.m. The same individual was also reported for possession of narcotic equipment and the use of marijuana. 

Wednesday, Nov. 8

An individual was reported for malicious damage done to the paint of a parked car in the Green Lot at 3:50p.m. The crime occurred between 9:15a.m. and 3:40p.m.

Items were stolen from an unattended backpack at Olds Robb Student Rec between 3:15p.m. and 5:11p.m. The crime was reported at 7:11p.m. 

Thursday, Nov. 9

An individual reported forcible and unwanted contact by a male individual at Best Residence Hall at 8:21p.m. The crime occurred on Oct. 26, 5p.m. 

Friday, Nov. 10

The coin-operated machine in Marshall Hall was broken into and stolen from at 2:31a.m. The crime was reported at the same time and remains an open case. 

Disorderly conduct was reported at Pray Harrold a 10:37a.m. The crime occurred between 11a.m. and 12:15p.m. on Nov. 9. 

A hit and run accident involving a student’s parked car was reported at 3:55p.m. in the Green Lot. The crime occurred between 11:55p.m., Nov. 9 and 10:30a.m., Nov. 10. The individual who hit the car failed to stop. 

A driver was cited for driving with their license suspended on Huron River Drive and Mayhew Street at 6:24p.m. The same drive had an expired vehicle registration. 

An individual’s parking hang tag was stolen from their vehicle in the Mayhew Lot between 9:30p.m., Nov. 9 and 7:55a.m., Nov. 10. The crime was reported at 6:50p.m. 

An individual was lodged on a failure to appear (FTA) warrant at 11:18p.m. on Oakwood Street. 

Saturday, Nov. 11

A barking dog was reported as a noise complaint to DPS at 9:43a.m. at the Westview Apts. 

An individual was reported for possession of narcotic equipment and use of marijuana at Hill Residence Hall at 3:33p.m. 

An individual was reported for usage of marijuana in the Green Lot parking lot at 7:37p.m. The individual also failed to appear (FTA) when called.
