The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's diving teams headed to the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center in Bloomington, Indiana for the NCAA Zone Championships over the weekend, March 9-11.
Freshman Brielle Johnston led the men's and women's diving team on the first day of championships, March 9. Johnston qualified for the 3-meter finals, with a thirteenth place finish and score of 567.70.
Juniors Molly Miller and Alli Shereda also posted top-30 finishes, taking twenty sixth and twenty ninety place.
On the men's team, freshman Noah Galluzzo concluded the day with a twenty first place finish with a score of 253.90.
On Friday, March 10, the Eagles ended that's time in the championship. Noah Galluzzo scored 229.00 points on the 3-meter, which gave him a thirty third place finish.
Sophomore Gabrielle Mace later took nineteenth place with a total 248.15 points. Brielle Johnston came in right behind Mace to earn twentieth place with a score of 247.25.
On March 15-18, the EMU eagles will head to NCAA Championships where Alexis Mitcheltree and Delaney Duncan will represent Eastern Michigan in Indianapolis, Indiana.
