Eagles Eye, March 20

The EMU gymnastics team collected its second-straight Mid-American Conference tournament championship on Saturday. This completed the season sweep of the MAC along with the regular season title.

The baseball team ended its four-game losing streak, against Samford on Sunday. After dropping the first two games in the series, the Eagles picked up an 8-3 victory on the road set the season record at 4-15.

Eastern Michigan softball went 3-2 at the MErcer Tournament over the weekend down in Macon, Georgia. The team picked  up wins against Mercer, Savannah State and Belmont to set the season record at 11-11.

The EMU men's golf team placed third overall as a team at the GCU Invitational on a two day score of 848 over  the weekend. Senior Jared Multer paced the Eagles with his 204 which tied for second overall.

The women's golf team placed in thirteenth place at the 3M Augusta Invitational with a team score of 932. Junior Thelma Beck led the way with her 224 which was good enough for eighteenth overall.
