The Eastern Michigan wrestling team was unable to win its final home dual of the season when it fell to Michigan State, 17-16, on Sunday at the Convocation Center.
Senior Devan Marry fell in a 5-0 decision on the last match of the day, which allowed the Spartans to leave Ypsilanti with a 17-16 victory.
Outside of Marry, the other two starting EMU seniors picked up victories in their final matches in Ypsilanti. Jacob Davis picked up a 7-4 decision while Nick Barber won a 3-1 decision.
The biggest highlight of the day for the Eagles was the performance by Zac Carson's performance. Carson came from behind 4-1 to pick up an 8-5 decision.
The Eagles will have a break for a few weeks as they plan for the Mid-American Conference Championships in Cedar Falls, Iowa on March 4-5.
