The Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team ended its seven game losing skid and picked up a win against the Northern Illinois Huskies at the Convocation Center on Saturday, 84-68.
A 22-point game by EMU guard Willie Mangum helped the lift the Eagles (14-16, 6-10) over the Huskies (15-14, 7-9) along with his four assists. As a team, the Eagles were able to hit on 49 percent of the shots from the field in the 16-point victory.
Eagle forward James Thompson helped defeat the Huskies with his double-double on his 17 points, 12 rebounds as well as a pair of blocks. Ray Lee saw his third-straight 20-point performance with his 21 points and three rebounds and assists.
The Eagles will look to start a win streak at Central Michigan for Eastern Michigan’s last regular-season road-match against the Chippewa’s on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7 pm.
